Tasks for the Children’s Classes Coordinator (CCC)

The children’s class coordinator promotes the progress of local children’s classes in the cluster they have been assigned to serve. They will work closely with the Cluster Institute Coordinator, and the Junior Youth Groups Coordinator, and where there is an Area Teaching Committee, will also work closely with that body.

  • Aim to serve as a class teacher in a local, open to all children’s class.
  • Keep a record of how many children’s classes are running in the cluster, who is teaching them, the names, ages and localities of the children, and whether they belong to a Bahá’í family or not.
  • Organise periodic meetings (3-4 times per year) for teachers and those who have completed book 3, to share experiences and learning, enhance their teaching skills, and to encourage the multiplication of local classes.
  • Attend occasional meetings arranged by the Coordinator for England, intended to enhance the skills of the Cluster Coordinators. (Usually twice per year)
  • Represent the Training Institute Board for England at any local meeting in which a Children’s Class Coordinator is required, eg Cluster Reflection meeting.
  • Report on all of the above to the Coordinator for England, and keep in regular contact to share learning.
  • Alongside the other Cluster Coordinators, promote the need for all adult believers to apply for their CRB disclosure, and ensure that only those with clearance are involved in children’s classes.
